Wretched Excess or Useful Tool?

Cerevellum Bike Computer, could save lives, if it works as promised.

Speed, distance, heartrate, GPS, energy consumed + rearview video!

Would the next step be a heads up display similar to those used in fighter jets? If so, we might never have to actually look at the road again.

  1. A very handy gizmo -- saves me from the kink in the neck trying to look behind me. But jeepers, it costs around $1,300 or so -- more than what I paid for my bike.

  2. Are there any other bike accessories that cost more than a bike? Of course, if you ducked an impending crash thanks to this computer, it would have been money well spent. I believe most bikers are hit from behind.

  4. Thanks Gordon. Maybe I'm just a nerd, but I think that website is worth visiting every couple of months as a reminder. Those seemingly minor intersection issues could be seriously important!
