I forgot that I have to be careful about used cell phones because I have MCS. I bought one on ebay one time I couldn't use because of the fragrance on it. If it doesn't get picked up, could you please let me know if the user of this phone wore cologne, after-shave, or scented (regular, non-organic) shampoo or hair spray? All these things would probably make the phone unusable to me.
