Billions for the banks, Zero for cycling infrastructure?

Funds allocated by the Obama administration for cycling infrastructure are on the block. It's very easy to make your voice heard here to save this essential program. If you're an American citizen, simply entering your zip code will make your voice heard by all your representatives. And if you're not American, this is not a bad time to let the powers here know what cycling can do for a country.

Meanwhile, the forces of darkness are gathering. Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC),

who believes that openly gay people should be banned from teaching in public school, opposes all forms of abortion, and champions offshore drilling in our coastal waters, insists that the stimulus bill is a "sham" because it includes funding for bicycle infrastructure.
